KOREA TRIP

Well, the other day, I had our Guangzhou trip posted and I might as well have our Korea trip posted.
In fact, travelling to Korea was Ryan's first overseas trip other than Malaysia. He has been looking forward to take a flight. Everytime, it was like sending someone or picking somebody from the airport. He has been imagining what it would be like in a plane.
Before the trip, he would imagine that we might have missed our flight or that our luggage were overweight or daddy could have forgotten to bring his tickets etc. So KS, just like me, haha.
Finally in mid Dec 2006 we travelled with Amelia & family and off we go. The two kids were so excited.
Of course, the flight experience was nothing new to Amelia who has been to Japan, Australia ... For Ryan, it was eye-opening. The most interesting section in the plane was the toilet. He simply loved going to the loo as he had imagined passing urine & motion & that the waste would "drop" from the plane & "BOMB" the ground. Think he has been watching too much Spongebob and that could have cultivated his funny & silly thoughts. Next, being served by the flight attendance was another GREAT experience. He could order whatever he liked, especially his favourite cola non-stop.
Ryan loved skiing most. He simply can't have enough of it and has requested to revisit Korea just for skiing. As for me, other than the beautiful scenary & wonderful temperature, skiing was a torture. Everytime when I managed to get up, I would fall down again, so clumsy. Worst of all, I had blue-black all over me. I finally come to the conclusion that I do not have the sports genes in me. Father and son just skiied and skiied and left me alone. So boring... Well, I ended up being the photographer.
Food in Korea was mostly hot-pot, probably it was during winter. To me as well as Jamie, it was ok, as long as there is sushi rice & seaweed. I think I ate more rice than I was in Singapore.
Unfortunately, we gals (Jamie, Amelia and I) missed the spa experience. The men (Victor, Chris and Ryan) had a good time there. While in the spa, the men got to go naked. Chris said Ryan saw everybody's and everything. I think Ryan was too shy or he might be too young to tell me about what he saw. Next time when he is bigger, I will check if he still remembers what he saw when he was 5 years old, haha.
Recommendation : Visit Korea, highly recommended.
